Donating breast milk while traveling

I will be talking a business trip to New York, staying and working just south of greenwich village. I have plenty of supply at home and am a bit worried the airline/TSA won't let me carry on all that I will be pumping. I'm also not sure if checking the milk will work as I'm not sure it will stay frozen/cold. So I was thinking about trying to donate the milk. Do you know of any milk banks or hospitals that would take my extra supply?
Thank you,
Angela
Answer from the lactation consultant:
Milk banks require you go through a screening process and only take minimum amounts of breastmilk.
Your best option would be to go with informal milk sharing through a group like Human Milk 4 Human Babies (HM4HB). It is a facebook based group. Go to facebook and type in Human Milk 4 Human Babies New York and you will find there local group. I am confident you will make a momma and baby very happy with your donation.
Thanks!
