Medela Swing Pump Review

The Medela Swing pump is their single electric breast pump.

In other words, you can only pump one breast at time.

In my opinion, This pump is appropriate for a mom who only wants to pump ON occasion. I only suggest this pump to moms who work 1-2 days a week PART TIME DAYS. So, in other words you are no separated from your baby for longer than 4 hours a few days a week. Why? Its not that great at emptying your breasts AND you must spend 15-20 minutes per breast. That is 30-40 minutes of pumping. Who has time to do that 3-4 times a workday. NOT ME.

I have seen a few moms try to save $ by buying the swing while working full time and watched those moms bail out on pumping because it just becomes too time consuming.

Here is my view on INVESTING in a good double electric breastpump when you work full time:
Formula costs $150-300 PER MONTH.
A Good breastpump costs $200-300.
You pump for anything longer than 4 weeks and your pump is literally like an ATM machine, saving you $150-300 month in the cost of formula. That is a SWEET deal in my opinion.
