Breastfeeding Bra

Finding the right breastfeeding bra can be a challenge to say the least. But finding the right fit is imperative. We will wear these nursing bras 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for goodness sake. (yes, you are supposed to wear them all day and all night to provide proper support)

The first item of business is making sure you are sized correctly. Click here to go to my article on measuring your bra size. A video is included. Also, did you know that any maternity store will measure your bra size? Just a helpful tip.Now that you know your size, here are my favorite breast feeding bras: (Remember Liz’s #1 Rule of nursing bras: NO UNDERWIRE!)

Sleep/Leisure Bras

This bra comes in Small, Medium, Large and Xlarge. Multiple cup and width size variance with each size. Cotton spandex pull-over sleep bra with cross-over pull down opening for easy nursing. Comfortable to wear day and night with no hooks and t-back design. Logo elastic at bottom band. 58% Polyester/32% Cotton/10% Spandex. Hand wash, line dry. **MELISSA'S PERSONAL COMMENTS** This is pretty much the same and the Medela #677. I like the fit and support a little better with the Medela but this is very close and a few dollars cheaper.

Sports bra

This is a great style for larger breasted women or those accustomed to wearing an underwire because it provides you with extra support. FULL COVERAGE CLIP DOWN LIGHTLY LINED FULL SUPPORT SPORTS COTTON / POLYESTER / SPANDEX NURSING BRA HAND WASH IMPORTED

Nursing Tank

This is a must have for every mom. It will make those nighttime feeds a breeze and it doubles as a PJ top or undershirt. Heck, I’ve even seen moms where it as their primary top.

Best Selling Nursing Bras

SEXY: is Passion Spices GAME! Here they have a gorgeous hot pink bra. But when you go to amazon to check it out, type in Passion Spice, cause they have a whole line of MATERNITY lingerie (we are talking garters and all!)

Up Next is a sexy nursing bra by Hotmilk. Gone are the days of function only breastfeeding bras. They have many different styles, just click on the photo and you can see all their bras.

Up next is a Bravado bra. Detailed with lace, it is truly exquisite. They also have many different styles. Innovative cross-cup design, so each size accommodates 2 cup sizes (34B/C, for example), making this bra both easier to fit and perfect to accommodate the size fluctuations women experience during pregnancy and nursing.Fine mesh exterior on the cups for beautiful shape and support, accented by rich European lace. And Bravado CottonFlex fabric lines the inside of the cups to give the comfort and breathability of cotton. Molded cups that flatter virtually every breast shape. The cups maintain their flexible form to fit all the time. Exclusive gold (and nickel-free) B! nursing clip, which adds a touch of elegant shine (and only she'll know it's a nursing clip). No underwire bra, and cups that drop away fully from the breast, as recommended by health care professionals. Available in Mocha/Honey Color.

Yes, you can find an underwire nursing bra, but why do I hate them? Simple: breast infections. Most moms who get breast infections, were wearing underwire bras (in my observation). So, I highly recommend NOT wearing an underwire during lactation.
